Improve your French while staying in your own accommodation and enjoying daily lessons, authentic conversations and unforgettable experiences in the South of France.

Accommodation

Participants arrange their own accommodation within approximately 15 km of our home near Carcassonne.

Because breakfast sessions and lessons normally take place at your accommodation, we recommend holiday rentals, cottages, gîtes or spacious guest houses that provide a comfortable table and sufficient space for learning and conversation.

Standard hotel rooms are generally not suitable for this programme.

If your accommodation is located more than 15 km from our home, or if it does not provide a suitable space for lessons and breakfast sessions, lessons and breakfast conversations will take place at our home instead.

In this case, participants are responsible for their own transport.

If you are unsure whether your accommodation is suitable, simply send us a link before booking and we will be happy to advise you.

★ Reviews from Immersion Students ★

French immersion student and her French teacher during an outdoor lesson on the terrace near Carcassonne, France.

Maryly, May 2026

Eliane is extremely bright and on the ball. From the very beginning, she knows her students’ strengths and weaknesses. As a result, she is able to adapt every lesson to their individual needs. She is on the cutting edge of teaching French and has an excellent rapport with her students. Moreover, she taught me some shortcuts into the French language that I had not known before.

Our French teacher

Eliane was very proactive in finding out about our group, our level of French and our goals before we arrived. Therefore, she pitched the classes at the right level, while stretching us and tailoring the grammar to areas that needed work.

French lessons

That is to say, we had a good mix of conversation, grammar, games, videos and popular culture. In addition, the outing to the chateau, with lunch and wine tasting was wonderful. In short, it was great to have a young, vivacious Frenchwoman’s take on life in France.
