Our immersion programs are designed for English speakers of all levels who want to improve their French in a real-life setting. Whether you are a beginner seeking confidence or an intermediate/advanced learner aiming for fluency, we adapt the experience to your level and objectives.

We offer immersive French stays in:

• Pezens near Carcassonne (South of France)
• Mouy in Picardie (Northern France)

Each location provides a unique cultural atmosphere while maintaining the same high standard of personalised French immersion.

Unlike traditional classroom-based programs, our immersion experiences are entirely private and personalised. Each student receives one-to-one instruction and is never placed in a group with unfamiliar learners. If a participant chooses to come with a partner or friend, lessons are tailored exclusively to them and their accompanying guests.

Effective and continuous practice of French language

In addition to 15 hours of structured, formal French lessons per week, students benefit from continuous guided practice throughout the day. Because the teacher remains present during daily activities — meals, conversations, outings, and real-life situations — learners practise French far beyond the classroom. This combination of focused individual attention and immersive daily interaction allows for faster progress and lasting confidence in spoken French.

All levels are welcome. Before your stay, we assess your level and goals to tailor your immersion experience accordingly.

Accomodation at your teacher’s home

Yes. You stay in the teacher’s home in a comfortable and private bedroom, with your own bathroom, kitchenette, and private living space to ensure both comfort and independence.

Shared meals

Most meals are shared together (with the exception of dinner), creating natural opportunities to practise French in authentic, everyday situations. This home-based setting allows you to use the language continuously throughout the day while still enjoying your own personal space.

Our immersion stays run for a minimum of one week, from Sunday to Saturday. In certain cases, shorter stays may be arranged upon request; however, we generally recommend a minimum of one to two weeks to achieve meaningful and lasting progress.

While even a brief private French immersion in France can boost your confidence, longer stays allow for deeper linguistic development, greater fluency, and richer cultural integration. The more time you spend living and practising French daily, the more natural and spontaneous the language becomes.

Each day combines structured learning with real-life practice in a relaxed and authentic setting.

A Typical French immersion Morning

We begin with breakfast together, offering a natural opportunity to start the day in French. Formal lessons then take place throughout the morning, providing focused and personalised instruction tailored to your level and objectives.

A typical French immersion Afternoon

After sharing lunch together, the afternoon varies depending on your chosen program and preferences. You may enjoy some free time to relax or explore independently. Alternatively, you can spend time with the teacher in everyday situations — such as walking the dogs, enjoying a coffee on a terrace, or engaging in informal conversation that reinforces what you learned in the morning.

What about cultural visits ?

For participants joining Éliane and Benjamin in Carcassonne, the immersion include guided visits of the region. Depending on the option selected, you may enjoy a minimum of two guided afternoons, with the possibility of up to five cultural visits during your stay.

In Picardie, Chantal’s immersion program includes two guided regional visits per week, allowing you to explore the area while continuing to practise French in real-life situations.

This balanced rhythm of structured lessons, shared meals, daily interaction, and regional discovery ensures steady progress while allowing you to fully experience French life.

Yes, you are welcome to attend the immersion either alone or accompanied.

Shared lessons or activities

Depending on your project and preferences, your companion may choose to participate fully in the lessons, join only the activities and cultural visits, or simply enjoy the stay at their own pace.

Booking your private French immersion in France is simple and personalised.

First, choose your preferred teacher and destination — Carcassonne with Éliane and Benjamin, or Picardie with Chantal.

Next, complete the contact form available on the corresponding page. Please include your preferred dates, your level of French, your flexibility, and any other information you would like to share about your goals or expectations. The more details you provide, the better we can tailor the experience to you.

Your teacher will respond as soon as possible with all the relevant information, including availability, program details, pricing, and booking and cancellation conditions. This allows you to organise your immersion with clarity and confidence.

Once you confirm that you wish to proceed, a 30% deposit is required to secure and finalise your reservation.

Because our immersion programs are personalised and places are limited, cancellations can significantly affect our schedule and availability. We therefore ask all participants to carefully consider their dates before confirming their booking.

Cancellations are possible up to three months before your planned arrival. In this case, your deposit will be refunded minus a €100 administrative fee.

If you cancel less than three months before your scheduled arrival, the deposit is non-refundable.

The remaining balance must be paid two months before your arrival. Once this payment has been made, it cannot be refunded in the event of a last-minute cancellation, including circumstances related to COVID or other unforeseen events.

For this reason, we strongly recommend taking out comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance to protect your stay.
